I'm not here to judge your time spent online or gaming. The fact that you feel the weight of how it's affecting your life shows you recognize its impact. In my practice, you’ll find a space free from judgment, where you can start to heal, regain control, and break free from the cycle of digital addiction.
Everything we discuss is completely confidential. Your privacy matters, and our conversations stay between us. The only exceptions are if there’s ongoing abuse of a child or dependent adult, or if you express imminent harm to yourself or others. For your peace of mind, here’s an example of how vague my notes are:
‘Client shared that they were able to spend an evening offline, enjoying time with their family. They also mentioned reconnecting with a hobby that brought them joy and balance. Client reports progress in setting healthier boundaries around internet use.’
One of the biggest hurdles to breaking free from internet or gaming addiction is the secrecy and shame surrounding it. You may feel like no one else has lost 'that much time' online, but the truth is, many people face the same struggles. As professionals, when our productivity and relationships suffer, it can feel even more isolating.
